Blueberry Goddess

Oh, this one is an immune system booster! Both blueberries and strawberries are antioxidant powerhouses, which can help fight against cancer and reduce cardiovascular disease risk*.

I recommend frozen berries so you don't need to add ice, and they're readily available and less expensive, although you can use fresh blueberries. Keep in mind that you'll almost always need a liquid to get the blender going and while I prefer to use water (since its less sugar and we're already adding fruit) you can substitute the water for orange juice, or more preferably an almond/soy/coconut milk.

The banana makes this smoothie creamy and rich without imparting any real banana flavor, so you’re safe if you don’t like bananas, or just omit and use a little less liquid.

Original SmooChia

Sweet strawberries and creamy bananas, there's really nothing like this classic combo! A smoothie can be refreshing but depending on what's in it, it may not keep you full for very long. To combat this, I've combined two of my favorite foods: smoothies + chia seed pudding..and thus the very first SmooChia was born! This is a bit creamier than your typical smoothie but with a boost of protein and fiber, it's guaranteed to keep you satisfied.

ORIGINAL SMOOCHIA

  • 1 small banana

♡ this is a staple in my fridge, but if you don't already have a batch ready to go, check out my recipe here ›› chia seed pudding
